When you use Fusion, all printers installed on your Mac are automatically added to your virtual machine.
Your virtual machine uses the default printer on the Mac as its default printer, unless you change it on the Printer panel in Settings.
- Select .
- Select a virtual machine in the Virtual Machine Library window and click Settings.
- Under Removable Devices in the Settings window, click Printer.
- Select the Share Mac printers check box.
- Select the default printer for this virtual machine.
Match the default printer on the Mac
Print jobs from this virtual machine go to the printer set as default on your Mac.
Allow a different default printer
Print jobs from this virtual machine go to the printer you set as default using the virtual machine’s operating system preferences. For example, you set the printer default by selectingin a Windows 10 virtual machine.
Print jobs go to the configured default printer.
In most cases, you can ignore the Remove Printer Port button. When you add a virtual printer to a virtual machine, Fusion adds a virtual serial port for the virtual machine. Fusion then uses the serial port to communicate with the virtual printer. Selecting Remove Printer Port removes both the virtual printer and the virtual serial port from the virtual machine.
